Two skills, one quick routine

Comparing quantities and knowing what comes next are two of the earliest number sense skills you'll see on any screener, because they predict how kids do with arithmetic later. "Which is more?" uses the same grouped dot patterns as the subitizing tool, sized to match on both sides, so kids can't just eyeball density and have to actually reason about quantity. "Missing number" builds the mental number line: knowing 7 comes right after 6, or that a skip count keeps going 2, 4, 6, is the same flexibility fluent counting runs on. Flash it, give think time, then ask "how did you know without counting all of them?" That's where the number sense actually shows itself.
